Burger Club– Great burgers, yummy sweet potato fries, super tasty sandwiches, vegetarian friendly, awesome drink specials, and a reasonable brunch spot, I love this place (can you tell?)!
Regal E-Walk Times Square– Great theater, it’s a little pricey but I mean movie theaters are in general. They do, however, have these Coke machines that allow you to make flavored soda and mix flavors and it’s AHHHMAZING! My favorite combination is strawberry Sprite Zero, that plus the glorious salty popcorn tastes like Captain Crunch, and I’ll take that any day.
Bareburger Astoria– Really great high-end burger place, you can have your burger made out of like 10 different meats ranging from organic beef to bison to ostrich to a portabella mushroom. So yummy, and their buns are TO DIE.
Vive La Crepe- Found this place thanks to a Groupon, LOVED IT thanks to the spinach, goat cheese, mushrooms and basil crepe. Quick walk from Union Square, which has a really fun market on the weekend.
The Food Exchange– Great place for lunch! Soup, salad and sandwiches with every meat bread and topping under the sun, and they use quality ingredients which I appreciate. There’s one around the corner from my work, I’m there at least once a week if not more.
Blockheads– Awesome Mexican food with college kid prices, where’s the downside?
Radicchio Pasta and Risotto– If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE Italian food, so give me a little hole in the wall restaurant with maybe 10 tables and homemade pasta, and I can die happy. This place, is exactly that.
Flo– Ok, a confession, I’ve only been here for drinks so I can’t really comment on the food (although their bar nuts and potato chips are bangin’) but when I used to imagine a hip and classy New York City bar, this was the kind of place I thought of. Plus, the drinks are pretty reasonable and the staff is super friendly. Yesplease.
Static– This place was fun, while the complete opposite of Flo, it filled a need. Chris and I wanted a dance club so we found one. I don’t give this place a *glowing* recommendation, but there’s no cover for girls (who drink free until midnight) and the cover for guys was $10 (but that comes with a free drink) so overall, if you’re lookin’ to get tipsy for super cheap and dance to some pretty awful music, hit this place.
